Heartburn & Reflux

Transnasal Esophagoscopy is a test to look at your esophagus (the food tube that goes from your throat into you stomach). This test is done by passing a flexible camera through your nose and the back of your throat into the esophagus and stomach. An advantage of TNE over the other more invasive screening methods that require conscious sedation is that it can be performed using topical anesthesia alone with the patient sitting upright in an exam chair.

A TNE may be performed to diagnose structural or functional abnormalities of the esophagus, stomach, and/or duodenum. If you would like to learn more about this procedure and to schedule a free consultation then please contact us here.
